What We Build for an Outdoor Kitchen
- The base. A paver patio, concrete slab or deck sized for the kitchen and its weight.
- Grill and oven pads. A level paver or concrete area for a grill, smoker or pizza oven.
- The cover. A pergola for shade and airflow, or a pavilion or lean-to roof that keeps the rain off.
- Bar tops. A bar top on a deck railing for drinks and stools.
- Not us: the island, counters, appliances, and the gas, water and power lines. Your kitchen company handles those.

We walk the finished space with you and close out our permits. Then your kitchen goes in.

Pavers, Deck or Concrete
Pavers work for most Jacksonville kitchens. They drain well and a single paver can be swapped out later.
A deck fits raised homes, sloped yards and kitchens next to a pool deck. We add framing, posts and footings where the kitchen will sit.
Concrete suits heavy masonry islands and big appliances.

Yes, if we know it’s coming. A kitchen with stone counters is heavy, so we add framing, posts and footings where it will sit.
Do I need a permit?
Usually, for a pergola, pavilion or roof. We pull the permits for what we build. Gas, plumbing and electrical permits are pulled by the trades who do that work.
